There is a huge chunk of easternmost part of the Tibetan Plateau in Sichuan province of China. The province basically inhabited by Khampa people. This part of the Tibetan Plateau has some of the most beautiful and best trekking routes in entire Plateau.
Unlike Tibet Autonomous Region, traveling Tibetan Area in this region doesn’t require you to organize tour with a local travel agency and Tibet travel permit. Yet it is often best to go with a recommended Trekking agency like us to do trekking in the remote region.
